Monday night's fire in the escalator area of the Malaysian resort's World Genting casino complex was being investigated by the building operator, the complex's management said in a social media post.

The fire was extinguished in 10 minutes and no injuries were reported, adding a post attributable to the management of the venue and uploading it to the building's official Facebook page.

The fire broke out on an escalator between the Genting Grand and First World hotels around 6pm that evening, referring to two separate guest accommodations in the property (pictured) operated by Genting Malaysia Bhd. 홀짜게임

"Customers were quickly evacuated when the fire broke out and the area was cordoned off. The fire brigade were on scene within 10 minutes and the fire was immediately put out. No one was hurt," the manager added.

An investigation into the fire was "ongoing" and the rest of the resort was "unaffected," according to a post on Facebook.
